![]() Lastly, I did do a session with Dell support prior to the OS reinstall. ![]() Normal people can’t troubleshoot this stuff. Shame on Dell for releasing $1k machines with all these issues. It’s my wife’s machine and she doesn’t use it everyday so I was out of the return Window when I got wind of the problems. If this was my machine I would have returned it in the first 30 days. Default setting is fast charging.Īfter doing this the fans no longer cranking at full blast when connected to the dock. Changed Battery settings in BIOS to Primarily AC.Supposedly this stops Turbo Boost from activating. changed power settings for battery when plugged in to 99% per a suggestion in the Dell Support forum. I seem have been able to resolve this by doing the following. There was nothing happening on the machine. They would be on full blast as soon as you started using the machine when plugged in via the TB4 dock. The last annoying problem was the fan noise. The only remaining wake from sleep problem is that sometimes a Blue screen ‘Recovery’ error gets thrown saying windows was not able to load properly with a prompt to reboot the machine. This would occur after the machine was in sleep mode for more than say 4 hours. The other wake from sleep issue prior to the reinstall was the machine completely shutting down and requiring a hard reset to boot up. I switched to a USB-C to Display Port cable and it now consistently recognizes the monitor. It also had trouble consistently recognizing the monitor when connected directly to HDMI via a USB-C to HDMI cable or through the TB4 dock. Prior to the reinstall the machine had trouble waking from sleep from a USB device (keyboard and mouse). I made sure drivers, windows and bios were all up to date. It also, cleared out the McAfee and other spam ware loaded on the machine. I didn’t have any issues reinstalling Drivers. That resolved a few issues related to sleep/wake when connected to a TB4 dock. Where to start? My wife recently picked up a 9315 and it’s been nothing but problems. How on earth do I get rid of these spammy Dell Digital Delivery notifications? Any advice on what to uninstall immediately?.I'm guessing this is a Windows 11 limitation, but is there a way to ungroup and show tabs in the taskbar? Super unimpressed with the taskbar changes overall with this version. It's been insanely frustrating, but I don't necessarily want to turn off tap to hold outright. Frequently when I use Chrome, the tabs sort of "jump" around and detach when I'm simply using the trackpad.Could this be S3 sleep and if so, is there a way to edit the time before it goes into this mode? I'm not sure if it's sleep or hibernate, but frequently when I wake the device up, it boots right to the XPS logo and takes quite a bit of time to get to the password entry screen. ![]() I haven't done a clean install since I've heard issues with drivers overall, but have all the Dell SupportAssist BIOS and Windows Updates. It's generally a good machine, but have some odd behaviors, not sure if it's my specific machine or more of Windows 11 overall, which I'm still figuring out a bit. Recently got a new Dell XPS 13, coming from a mixture of Chromebooks, Macbook Airs, and my old trusty XPS 17.
